An Interview on the Biblingual YouTube Channel

Just a brief post to note that I have an interview that went live today over on the Biblingual YouTube channel, which is hosted by my friend Travis Wright, who is a PhD candidate studying at Cambridge with my Doktorvater, Jim Aitken. International LXX Day 2021: The Upcoming Grinfield Lectures

The glorious day of worldwide celebration is once again upon us. Happy International Septuagint Day to one and all! On this very occasion we celebrate the fifteenth year of this great festival, which was proclaimed as an eternal edict in 2006 by the International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies (IOSCS). 2021 Biblical Studies Conference Calls & Invited Sessions

Over the last several years I have gotten more involved in the major biblical studies societies, not only as a presenter of papers, but as an organizer of sessions. It’s a different kind of work, but I had found it really enjoyable to work with others to try to create and host good sessions. And believe it or not, the call for paper proposals is already open for the late 2021 conference season (at least in some cases), so that coordinating process is already underway. (more…)
