2020 Septuagint Summer School at Trinity Western University

It’s wonderful to see yet another opportunity this year to study the Septuagint at the summer school hosted by Trinity Western University in Langley, BC, and made possible by the John William Wevers Institute for Septuagint Studies.

This year’s course will take place from 4-8 May 2020 on campus at TWU. It’s worth noting that the summer school can be taken as a 3-credit course, and that it is also possible to participate via live-streaming video. The course this year is entitled Septuagint Studies: Theories, Principles & Methods and it will be taught by Dr. Dirk Büchner.

You may know that I’ve posted before about courses offered in previous years, including the 201820172016, and 2015 courses. Back in my graduate and postgraduate days I was able to attend two of these — one with Dr. Büchner — and found them very worthwhile. If you are interested in this area of research, I highly recommend you consider participating.
